Golf Marathon Format & Rules

  1. Start time will be 8 am. (assuming there is no frost)
  2. Shot gun start, each team will be given a hole to start on. The teams can consist of 1-4 players.
  3. The event will be played on the Back/back nine (holes 19-27)
  4. The fees for the day are $50.00 lump sum for each golfer; this includes the electric/gas cart, green fee, and food. We consider this your donation to the CRTEC fund raiser. If a golfers raises at least $250 in pledges we will waive the $50 fee. The goal is for each golfer to raise $1,000.
  5. Each golfer may play multiple balls on a hole if there are no teams behind them waiting to tee off. If a golfer decides to play multiple balls they must play each ball out no matter where they land. For example: if a golfer tees off three balls he/she must go to each ball location and hit each ball until they each go in the hole. In order to be efficient, it is best to do this on the par 3’s. All boundaries are treated as lateral hazards (drop ball from point of entry, 1 club length)
  6. Time is of the essence more so than score; so taking practice swings, reading greens, etc, is not recommended if you want to accomplish the task of completing 100 holes in one day.
  7. If players ahead of you slow down, feel free to look for an open hole. On the day of the event; if the Airport National Golf course is slow, they may allow us to play other holes.
  8. Each team needs to keep track of total holes completed. At the end of the event, we will tally the holes, and then send out certificates to the sponsors indicating how many holes were completed.
  9. This event is considered a rain or shine event. Check the weather forecast and come prepared.
