Where will these funds go?
The funds raised from the MARATHON go directly to meeting the expenses required to enable CRTEC to launch the new Trafficking in Persons Identification Course (TIP-ID) across the nation. Any funds raised greater than the TIP-ID expenses will go towards building the new CRTEC facility.
What does the CRTEC Golf Marathon Include?
GRAND PRIZES will be awarded for the Most Sponsorship Raised and the Largest Number of Sponsors.
What does it cost to play in the Golf Marathon?
Your entry fee as a golfer is $50 however if you raise $250 in pledges we will waive the $50 fee. The goal is for each golfer to raise at least $1,000 in pledges.
What is a Marathoner?
A Marathoner is first and foremost an ambassador for the CRTEC who solicits support by raising pledges. Golf assistance will be available on Marathon Day to ensure that a minimum of 100 holes are played in accordance with the letter you send to raise pledges. Each team will have their own cart and may chose to individually play 100 holes or share them among team members. This means you too can be a Marathoner even if you don’t want to play all 100 holes by yourself. If you don’t play golf at all, you can still compete as a marathoner raising pledges.
What is a Remote – Marathoner?
Because CRTEC has partners and related organizations across the nation, we are also equipped for golfers in other cities to participate remotely. Simply setup a time at the course of your choice and golf simultaneously with the other groups. We will cover the costs of your fees and cart.
Can I contribute if I can’t play in the event or if I don’t golf?
Absolutely YES! A special letter has been created for the UNGOLFER to use in raising pledges to support the Foundation for the Homeless. Your commitment will be to make your best effort as an UNGOLFER to raise pledges for the CRTEC. We need everyone’s help!
What if we are rained out?
